Duncan MacLean Appointed
President of MacLean Vehicle Systems
Mundelein, Illinois: Effective Jan 28, 2008, the Board of Directors of
MacLean-Fogg Company announced that Duncan MacLean has been elected
President of MacLean Vehicle Systems (MVS), a worldwide market leader of
fasteners, plastics and composites, powertrain and suspension and
linkages. With 16 locations in the United States, Asia and Europe, MVS
offers design engineering, production and distribution capabilities to
the automotive, truck/trailer, off-road, recreational, farm equipment,
military and aerospace markets globally.
CEO and Chairman of the MacLean-Fogg Companies, Barry L. MacLean,
commented, “Duncan’s experience managing our automotive parts and
components, aerospace and fastener businesses will help him grow and
develop our cohesive group of very competitive focused factories to
better serve our customers. Duncan will strategically direct our assets
to continue to solve our customers’ problems on a worldwide basis. Over
the last five years, the corporation has grown successfully by investing
in new products and strategic acquisitions in North America, Europe and
Asia.”
During the past twelve years, Duncan has worked as a manufacturing
engineer in the MacLean-Power Systems business unit and in the
Components and Fasteners businesses. While living in Europe, he was
instrumental in developing the global market for the Dynalink division.
Most recently, Duncan was the President for the Fastener Group. Duncan
has demonstrated a track record in new business development, and an
ability to build a strong team. Duncan earned an M.S.E., B.E. and a
B.S. in Engineering from Dartmouth College Thayer School of Engineering
and is currently completing an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of
Management at Northwestern University.
